Kayleigh’s Wee Stars works closely with a number of care professionals, in particular CHAS and Young Lives v Cancer as well as Social workers and medical professionals from Scottish Hospitals. Applications are done entirely online and are made by a health professional on behalf of a family. Applications for support are discussed as soon as we receive them and we are usually able to transfer funds to the family the same day. The amount donated differs each time and depends on the family’s circumstances.
The charity receives on average 4 applications for support a month and up to July 2022 we have donated more than £1million in total to families in need. The applications continue to come in and every bit of support is vital.
