Ride the North (RtN) is a two day challenge cycling event taking place in Aberdeenshire and Moray on 24th-25th August 2019, we are an affiliated charity and have places for cyclists on the KWS team.
RtN features the beautiful backroads of North East Scotland and the natural environment of a region which is home to Scotland’s Castle Country, the Malt Whisky Trail and the Cairngorms National Park. RtN is a non-competitive event which invites entries from individuals, groups and corporate teams to enjoy all that is wonderful about riding a bike through the Grampian Highlands.
2019 will be the 9th RtN event - it is not a race nor a sportive, it a challenge ride which celebrates the love of cycling and the scenery in this part of Scotland. There will be refreshment stations every 20-25 miles and the organisers work in partnership with the local communities to ensure all cyclists are well looked after along the way. The route is always on the back-roads of North East Scotland, in the foothills of the Grampian Highlands (in Aberdeenshire and Moray). The route changes a little each year, with the exact 2019 route to be posted about 2-3 weeks from the event, but it will be in the region of 175 miles with a mix of hills and some easier sections.
